Jinxed computer
This is probably the best day that the computer decided to malfunction. When i woke up this morning, i was supposed to have my morning exercise but decided against it and opened the computer.. and now facing me is not the infamous blue screen of death (id rather have that though) but sumthing checksum rom error sumthing bla-blah di blah blah. Then, i rebooted the entire system........ nothing.... reboooted again... nothing..... sigh..
first phase: call technician and try figure out what the heck is wrong with the thing.. answer: its the motherboard's battery that's giving out and i could buy it at any watch selling store! yippeee!! i could do that after lunch (my thought goes..) lunch came and went, battery bought, battery installed, still dead..
second phase: call technician again. techie kindly tells me to bring the damn thing over to have it checked.. (other things went wrong, car battery dead also.. how many things should go wrong before something looks up? =( ) after checking everything, conclusion: motherboard's dead, bought new motherboard (that's 2900+ bucks) its cheap but hope it works! paws crossed, new motherboard installed, brace urselves..... still dead...
third phase: brought the entire damn thing to pc corner coz the motherboard's from there, told me to pay 500 bucks for service coz the other parts are not from their store. (wise stupid store, ripped me off 3500 already). Will know on tuesday what the heck is really wrong with the thing. The techie there says suspicion is the powersupply of the entire thing. Geeesh.. that's good news... have to buy another of those stuffs and pay again... spent good money on damn parts.. (farewell to palm zire 72.. for the meantime...) sigh sigh sigh... at least there's the good ole' laptop to type these stuffs... i really owe cheanne alot since i told her that we'll meet up tonight, but guess am really tired of all these things... wanna cry.... waaaaah...
lesson learned: NEVER EVER BUY FROM PC EXPRESS AGAIN! UNLESS ITS SOME ACCESSORY STUFF!! THAT COMPUTER HAS BEEN GIVING ME THE JINXES SINCE I STARTED BUYING IT!!! GEEEESSSSSHHH!!!!

yeesh! so meaning sayang ung new motherboard mo??? coz ok nman pla ung old one???
wla na.. inaway na ng nanay ko yng pc corner.. hehee.. nagmukhang inutil nanaman me kanina... not a very good sunday for me again.. well at least nabawi yng 3500... papaayos nalang namin sa kakilalang supplier.. at least sigurado pa kung ganun..
Ok naman pc-express.. naku.. sana nagtanong ka muna sakin... kala ko ba naman lahat ng Compsci grad, marunong magayos ng hardware pb nila..
hindi siguro pc express... pero ayaw ko na ng athlon... nakakasira tlga ng araw... tapos ngayon nalaman ko pa na nakuha pa pala nila yng accessories ng motherboard ko.. yoko na balikan.. baka mapapaaway nanaman me... sigh... kabit kabit hardware marunong.. pero yng tinker tinker ng intestines ng computer hindi me marunong...
depende naman.. di naman lahat ng athlon maproblema, usually stable ang chip.. depende sa mobo.. kung elcheapo bili mo mas madali masira kahit na ano CPU, basa ka muna review bago bili na mobo!
uu nga eh.. huhuhu!! hindi mura yun ah!! last i checked it was around 5900.. and comes with a barton sumthing sumthing.. and lasted me for just a year sumthing.. grrr... mag iintel na tlga me.. at least wla pang fan fan (hindi maingay) owkie pa performance. hmph.
Tagal na ko bumibisita dito pero now lang ako nagbasa. hihihih! Ikaw lang ata ang kakilala ko na blogger. Anyway, I used to be an intel boy... until last month! Got an Athlon 64 3500+. And it rocks!
AMD64's aren't what AMD used to be. They consume less electricity compared to Intel's. And hence, they produce less heat. And they make Intel chips look like they're running in slow motion.
If you have computer/nerd questions, just ask me. ;)
Oh, and if you plan to get the Zire72, you can ask me again! I have TONS of apps/games for it... all cra--- I mean, borrowed! ;p
don't sales talk me pleaze... don't want to face those problems again.. huhuhuhu!! i'll be good and go back to being an intel gurl.. =D
I wouldnt recommend intel.. but its up to you.
ano ba recommend mo ahya? just discovered now that dami ko pala naiwang accessories ng motherboard ko dun sa shop while making baklas to it.. geesh.. hay naku.. will make complain again later siguro.. hehehe..
hmm.. athlon dati ung pc nmin oki nman syo meron lng isang problem topak lagi kc overheat lagi?? sbi nila if u want athlon tlga kelangn customize mo n lagyan mo ng daming fan?? we switch to intel na coz to be honest mas less nga problems nmin wid motherboard... hmm... mami mo tlga ndi p rin ngbabago hehehe....
mahal ng intel!! gonna shell out another 17K plus for a new motherboard and a processor!! seems like the old chip got burned out.. [that's already 3 fans running..] and the motherboard's outdated.. waaaa!! miss my pc..
