Sunday came and went, i thought a birthday's supposed to be a typical thing.. then i suddenly get a text from a friend (actually expected though coz he's been texting me the other day pa) telling me to meet up coz he's got sumthing for me.. whoa!! a cute keychain!! thanks fred!!

Day of Reflection..

Whooo!!! i'll be posting sumthing quite personnal today...

Yesternight, i was telling my brothers what i like for my birthday... and inasmuch as they liked to do the thing for me, they told me to wait and see.... if its right for me or not, time will tell.. and this mornin.. can't help but have a heavy feeling but was uplifted when i read a devotional today..

Streams in the Desert April 18

"I once believed that after I prayed, it was my responsibility to do everything in my power to bring about the answer. Yet God taught me a better away and showed me that self-effort always hinders His work. He also revealed that when I prayed and had confident trust in Him for something, He simply wanted me to wait in an attitude of praise and do only what He told me. Sitting still, doing nothing except trusting in the Lord, causes a feeling of uncertainty, and there is often a tremendous temptation to take the battle into our own hands.

We all know how difficult it is to rescue a drowning person who tries to help his rescuer, and it is equally difficult for the Lord to fight our battles for us when we insist upon trying to fight them ourselves. It is not that God will not but that He cannot, for our interference hinders His work. C. H. P.

Spiritual forces cannot work while we are trusting earthly forces.

Often we fail to give God an opportunity to work, not realizing that it takes time for Him to answer prayer. It takes time for God to color a rose or to grow a great oak tree. And it takes time for Him to make bread from wheat fields. He takes the soil, then grinds and softens it. He enriches it and wets it with rain showers and with dew. Then He brings the warmth of life to the small blade of grass, later grows the stalk and the amber grain, and finally provides bread for the hungry.

All this takes time. Therefore we sow the seed, till the ground, and then wait and trust until God's purpose has ben fulfilled. We understand this principle when it comes to planting a field, and we need to learn the same lesson regarding our prayer life. It takes time for God to answer prayers. J.H.M."

somehow, these words comforted me and reminded me that everything's in His hand, just wait and see... *sigh sigh*

0. Original plan was supposed to meet up with some friends and have a happy reunion... but unfortunately, a lot of people could not make it.. sigh.. people seem to be preoccupied these dayz... (or maybe becoz circle of friends too small??) o well.. their loss... (skip to #5)
1. Made kai-siao a friend to an officemate (first time at that..) hope it works!! donkey keeping fingers crossed.. ^,^
2. Had an ingress in King's Court (Buy some motorcycles!! yea!!)

3. Helped out in the typing of expenses (not much done though)
4. Pigged out at Peking Garden's with my brothers! hehe!!

Its so much fun to make a clown out of your own dog... specially when its not that cooperative.. hehe!! here are a few pix of our own charlie (whom we're currently trying to get on the treadmill so that he'll lose weight ~ sigh.. looks hopeless though)

A New Look!!

Yippeee!! I've finally managed to do a revamp on the site.. (with the help of Cheanne's blog site as a reference ~ with proper due respects of course) thanks thanks thanks!! hope that people will someday come and visit the site.. hehehe!! ^,^ wishful thinking again.. =D

Pre-Celebration of the Birthday to come...

Today is supposed to be a special day.. (well in advance that is.. ) coz tomorrow is my dad's BiGgiE-o Day! hehe! Sadly though, it coincides with the death anniversary of my Guwa-kong.. but not to worry. There's more festivity due tomorrow than sorrow..

Before I get really excited for tomorrow.. I should speak first of today.. (take it one day at a time eh?) First off.. I thought i'd have my new cellfone from smart today.. (Guess it turned out that Smart doesn't hold office on Saturdays!! What a bummer...) Well at least the good thing is Daddy-o will get his new gadget (whoops!! a dead giveaway.. but no model specs yet!!) well before i will.. hehe!! Then, i get to take a leave off from work! Whooohooo!! Yippeee!! Well... Athena (our point person for the training today) was not all that well from the stress too... (Poor her.. should get some rest and get well soon!!)

Next, i get to pig out of Emerald Garden!! Wheee!! Well.. i didn't exactly pigged out coz the space was quite cramped and there's a big BuKo juice obstructing my hand from reaching to get another serving of whatever's in the table.. (and by the time i finished my juice..) sob.. ^,^; all the food's gone.. waaaahh.. o well.. at least it will be good for some pound shedding.. hehe!! (looking at the bright side of things..)

Funny what transpired from the gathering.. Stuffs i've found out..
1. After 6 Diet still works for people.. (and is advertised by our pastor.) ^,^
2. Pastor Eden still tells jokes even if he's a pastor already. (Well, I'm glad that he didn't change to some unfeeling old guy..) Good for him! =D And he loves literary stuffs.. and he knows Brother Andrew Gonzales!! Heavy!!
3. Schools you'd consider when you have a kid..
a. Chang Kai - for its low tuition and somewhat strict training.
b. Uno - but you won't know if your kid will get a life..
c. Hope Christian - surprisingly heard rumors that it will close? (graduating class shrunk to 2 classes? whew!! but the last time i went, the high school building is being torn down.. i guess its to build a newer bldg..) and now its rumored to be closing??
4. I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue to the names and faces of the people we had at career group at CGC!! whew!! ^,^ thought i was the only one!! hehe!
